Ethos Tree Preservation owner Orion Coleman’s love for trees started early as he grew up climbing in the forests around his home. This led to a fascination with life forms, both macro and micro fauna and flora. With an interest in the inter-connectivity of plants and animals, he studied botany and theoretical ecology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
His early start with climbing coincided with an early use of chainsaws and an understanding of humans relationship to trees as providing warmth and shelter, as well as the stewardship of the natural world.
He has cultivated his technical skills and proficiency in climbing. He uses analytical skills for problem solving unique situations.
After moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2007, Orion began his company Ethos Tree Preservation and has worked within the community for nearly two decades.
Orion is a father and he and his family are based in Portland, Oregon.
